Duplicate File Finder .NET:
04/30/2009 07:31 - Duplicate File Finder .NET v1.2.0.0 is officially released.
Major Changes:
Error messages pop-up at a status bar at the
bottom of the screen now.
[Files On/Off] feature has been removed.
Under Options - Modes, a pulldown to specify Bytes, KBytes or
MBytes now includes GBytes as well.
All folders which are in exclusion have now a different icon (Looks sorta like a blood-covered suitcase).
Under Options - Modes - Duplicate File Modes, by Same
File Content can now include some of the other checkboxes.
Content matching results are more intelligible now: you can sort data the same way as the other type
of matching (by file date or size).
Note: only works if you are checked to compare files with the same
name, size, date etc.
Under Options - Algortihms, you can now find the option to compare binary or
textual content exactly to the byte.
A fixed set of size
options like:
[ ] Zero-length files
[ ] Tiny files (1 Byte - 1 KByte)
.... skipped ....
[ ] Huge files (larger than 1 GByte)
has been added.
Under Options - Modes, 1DFF has now a option to enter a user-defined mask,
like if you want to compare only ZIP files (*.zip) or files with the word george
in them (*george*).
Under Options - Modes, 1DFF has now a option to specify a user-defined
list of file extensions, like if you want to compare only RAR files (rar, r01,
r02, r03, r04, etc.).
Under Results, you don't now need to click [Yes] and then click [OK] just to delete a file.
Now 1DFF has Save/Load Config button for folks who want to automate
some types of searches, so they could run the same batch of searches every week, month etc...

Added code to prevent weird usage of the context menu in the computed output.
Fixed three bugs in the computed output.
Added a new button to computed output.
Added a new feature: now you can check for updates.
Some default settings in Options->Exclusions have been changed.
